Trosley Country Park, Kent

On the edge of the hamlet village of Vigo, lies Trosley Country Park forming part of the North Downs and its Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The park has a mixture of woodland and open chalk grassland slopes, which are classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. We only scratched the surface of the 170 acre woodland, but there are lots of stunning walks here, picnic areas, play areas, trim trails and a café serving delicious cake - Camping Scamping heartily recommend the lemon one. Lip smackingly good!

There are three trails at Trosley Country Park. The Trosley trail would be fine for pushchairs and the Woodland trail is nice and gentle. The third is the Downland trail which has some steep parts if you want more of a challenge! If that's not enough, get yourself on the trim trail equipment for that super fitness boost.

I must admit, a gentle stroll looking up into the trees and listening to the birds is more our thing. If you are really lucky you might just see a Chalkhill Blue butterfly or the very rare Musk Orchid.
