Bank holiday Monday has started slowly at Camping Scamping headquarters. It's been a full on summer holiday of adventures, catching up with friends across the country and generally intense scamping. So we decided to take this weekend easy, get the kids back into the zone ready for a new term and getting into the swing of Year 7 and 10.
Once that decision was made, wallowing into the day with a leisurely get up, following a natter snuggling in bed with our daughter and generally putting the world to rights, seemed like the only way a day of relaxation should start!
Treated the brood to a lazy and decadent breakfast of brioche cinnamon French toast, with lashings of Greek yoghurt and cherries, washed down with copious amounts of tea.
Fortified and ready to ease ourselves into the day, the boys are off honing their skateboarding skills and us ladies are off to London in a bit for some mud larking - more on that adventure later!
It is so important in these days of bonkers diaries and juggling commitments to stop and take a moment. To snuggle up, natter, laugh and listen.
Be in the moment, as in exactly 48 minutes time the adventure continues, whilst wearing disposable gloves and trying to avoid Weil's disease on the banks of the Thames!
